Fundraising

May 2022

We took part again in the annual Abilene Gives Fund Drive on May 3rd. Over $1.7 million was donated to local charities by over 3,800 donors, with the funding going to over 130 local nonprofits.

Abilene Gives is an annual 24-hour day of giving to raise money and awareness to make a significant impact for charitable organizations serving our communities. The Community Foundation of Abilene was honored to host this annual giving day for the sixth consecutive year.

April 2022

We had a great time on April 7th at the Abilene Axe Company. During our fundraising event we had folks throwing axes to support our heroes. West Texas Veteran Support Services and Abilen Axe Company teamed up to show their support for our local and area veterans.

By participating, attendees supported our "Restoring Texas" project which provides free home repair to local low-income Veterans in the area. Some current needs include roof replacements, window replacements and hot water heaters.

Donors

We thank all of our donors for their support of West Texas Veteran's Support Services. We couldn't accomplish our mission without them.
