Building a Better Tomorrow in Abilene

At West Texas Veteran Support Services, we are more than just a nonprofit organization; we are a beacon of hope and support for those who need it most. Our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that every Texan, regardless of their circumstances, should have the opportunity to live in a safe, healthy, and independent environment. Founded by Gordon Gloria in 2019, our journey began with a heartfelt desire to make a difference in the lives of low-income veterans, elderly individuals, and disabled members of our community.

Gordon's personal connection to the cause stems from his own family experience. Growing up, he witnessed the challenges his grandparents faced when their home needed essential repairs, and they lacked the financial means to address them. Inspired by his family's determination to help, Gordon established our nonprofit, driven by the unwavering commitment to ensure that no one in West Texas would have to endure substandard living conditions due to financial constraints.

Our services are designed to provide essential support to our target audience: low-income veterans, elderly individuals, and disabled residents across Texas. From vital home repairs and modifications to offering respite services for dedicated caregivers and temporary homemaker assistance, we are here to make a real, positive impact on people's lives.

We invite you to learn more about our programs and the meaningful work we do in our community.
